Actors from Belfast Area High School began their progression toward the state's annual One Act competition this past week, March 1-3, with three performances: Thursday at BAHS; Friday at Searsport; and Saturday at Mount View in Thorndike. These preliminary performances provide an opportunity for the teams from all three schools to practice and share their work with one another and their communities. BAHS students chose to present the one-act version of "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" by Don Zolidis, a zany, hilarious re-imagining of all 209 Brothers Grimm fairy tales with a modern twist. Their next step is to perform at the Regional Drama Festival  March 9-10. Winners will go on to perform March 23-24 at the State Drama Festival and April 26-28, 2018 at the New England Drama Festival in Gilford NH.
