KV Music Festival Coming to BAHS!!

Student musicians from almost two dozen schools will converge Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 and 4, for the 2017 Kennebec Valley Music Educators Association Music Festival at Belfast Area High School, 98 Waldo Ave.

Two public concerts, choral and band, will cap the two-day fest Saturday afternoon in the school’s gymnatorium. The choral concert will be at 2 p.m. and the band concert at 4 p.m. Doors will open a half hour earlier for both.

Belfast students, including those of Troy A. Howard Middle School, will be joined by their peers from Mt. View in Thorndike, Winslow, Mt. Blue, Skowhegan, Erskine, Messalonskee, Lawrence, Waterville, MCI, Spruce Mountain, Dirigo, Nokomis, Mountain Valley, Rangeley Lakes, Sebasticook, China, Vassalboro, Warsaw, Somerset, Winthrop and Madison.

Admission to either concert is $3, $2 for students and senior citizens, with a $10 family cap.
