BAHS history students in Mr. Lagerbom's AP US History course and American Studies classes recently participated in their own Constitutional Convention simulations. After researching their assigned state, one of the original thirteen, they engaged in debates over states' rights vs federal, rights of the majority vs rights of the minority, electoral college vs popular vote, sovereign borders and citizenship, the creation and maintenance of personal rights and liberties within a Bill of Rights, and the efficacy of division of federal power into three branches with checks and balances.
