Indoor Track Teams Break School Records and Excel at States!

Five BAHS school records were broken at the State B meet at Bates College on Feb. 17! New records are:
Girls' 4x800 relay with a time of 10:19.38
Boys' 4x200 relay 1:39.27
Girls' 4x200 relay 1:51.83
Jack Hansen in long jump 20’7.5”
Junne Robertson- McIntire 55m 7.43
Junne is the state champ in the 55m and the BAHS girls (Junne, Emily Jolliffe, Kelsey Mehuren and Mackenzie Banks) are state champions in the 4x200.

The girls team placed 3rd in the state and the boys placed 7th.

Individual results:

Girls

55 meters — Finals: 1, Robertson-McIntire, Bel, 7.46. Prelims: 1, Robertson-McIntire, Bel, 7.43 (school record). The previous mark also was by Robertson-McIntire at 7.45.

200 meters — 2, Robertson-McIntire, Bel, 26.57.

400 meters — 6, Mehuren, Bel, 1:02.95.

800 meters — 13, Jolliffe, Bel, 2:43.84.

Mile — 13, Sanderson, 6:06.33.

4x200-meter relay — 1, Belfast (Jolliffe, Banks, Mehuren, Robertson-McIntire), 1:51.83 (school record). The previous mark was 1:52.43.

4x800-meter relay — 2, Belfast (Deans, Mehuren, Sanderson, Jolliffe), 10:19.38 (school record). The previous mark was 10:39.10.

Boys

800 meters — 3, Smith, Bel, 2:06.26.

55-meter hurdles — Finals: 7, Hansen, 8.55. Prelims: 5, Hansen, Bel, 8.43.

4x200-meter relay — 5, Belfast (Carter Patterson, Tyson Hill, Christian Sukeforth, Smith), 1:39.27 (school record). The previous mark was 1:39.64.

4x800-meter relay — 6, Belfast (Brendan Moline, Eamon Goscinski, Tyson Hill, Ricky Smith), 9:10.60.

Pole vault — 2, Hansen, Bel, 11-6.

Long jump — 2, Hansen, Bel, 20-7.5 (school record). The previous mark was held by Drew Nealey at 19-9.75.

Triple jump — 4, Jon Duso, Bel, 40-6.75.

Shot put — 11, James Robbins, Bel, 39-3.75.
