Students at Belfast Community Outreach Program in Education (BCOPE) performed some community service, as they pitched in to move and stack firewood at the Searsmont Waldo County Woodshed, http://waldocountywoodshed.org/index.htm

The Searsmont location is one of seven in the greater Waldo County area. The Woodshed is a non-profit organization that provides free firewood for anyone needing heating assistance. They are open through the winter, providing 1/4 cord piles of firewood for short term heating assistance. Wood is available on a first come first serve basis and recipients must sign up in advance. Call 338-2692 for info.
